It sure has been a while. But even so, I am back!
I guess I’ll just jump right in.
In one of my posts a couple of months ago, I announced the news that I would be recording and releasing my first EP, consisting of four of my original songs. Though I am a tad late on talking about it here on AbundantlyKate, I am so happy to say that my debut EP, Mississippi, was dropped on March 24th, 2017!
Each song on this EP is a piece of my heart, and I am eternally grateful to be able to share my words, stories, melodies, and honesty with my listeners. I really wanted this first EP to represent me in the most authentic way possible, and I hope that y’all can hear that through my music. I believe in the magic of storytelling, I believe that everything happens for a reason, I believe in small towns, and I believe in telling the truth as candidly as you can. I am truly thankful to everyone who has taken a moment to listen so far; the words of love, positivity, and encouragement that I have received mean everything to me. I want to make music that makes people stop and think, turn the radio up, and pull their eyes from their phone screen. I want to make music that is attention-grabbing, heart-touching, and relatable in a way that makes my listeners feel as though I wrote each song for them, personally. I know that not everyone is going to like what I do or what I say, but if you do, thank you. There is no greater compliment than for me to know that my music means something to someone. That is why I do what I do.
My music is available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon – pretty much every digital music outlet. If you’re a Spotify user, please go follow my Kate Stedelbauer artist page as well! I will also link my website here, where you can find more information about me, links to my songs, lyrics, and all that good stuff. I also have hard copies available for $8 on my website, so please let me know if you would like to purchase one!
In the future, I want to be better about documenting my journey as an artist here on AbundantlyKate. If you’re still reading this (thanks so much!), I hope that you all will continue to follow me on this journey. This is only the beginning y’all!!!
