I am back with part 2 of my Travel With Me road trip recap! I have already blogged about Florida on my Panama City Beach post, and today I am going to show y’all all of the fun stuff my friends and I discovered on our spontaneous day trip to Savannah, Georgia while traveling back home. After spending only an afternoon in the historic southern city, there is a new place in my heart for beautiful Savannah. The rustic cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and twisty trees draped with Spanish moss create an incredible atmosphere that pictures cannot do justice. I hope y’all enjoy!
A Day in Savannah
We were starving when we arrived, and decided to settle down for lunch at Huey’s Southern Cafe on River Street! It is a New Orleans-inspired restaurant over the river and it serves some of the best food I have ever had.
I ordered red beans and rice, which was amazing, and then we ordered beignets as a table for dessert. Let me tell you, I had never even heard of beignets before, but I found very quickly that they are to die for. They remind me of a cross between a donut and a funnel cake, and mine was so fresh that steam came out of the center when I bit into it. Sweet, melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Romper // Lizard Thicket in Panama City Beach – this romper isn’t on their website anymore, but everything they sell is so cute that it’s worth checking out!

We wished we could’ve eater here at The Olde Pink House, but I figured a picture would suffice because, well, it’s a pink house. You just can’t pass that up.
After lunch, we spent the rest of our time shopping, sight-seeing, and exploring the city. Walking around Savannah is the safest I have ever felt walking around a city. Everyone is so kind, the atmosphere is so positive, and there is a new place to discover around every corner.
In the late afternoon, we enjoyed a little pick-me-up at The Coffee Fox, a latin-inspired coffee shop that serves their drinks in mason jars – literally the cutest!
Though I don’t have any pictures, I will say that Savannah has amazing shopping. Unfortunately, a lot of the independent boutiques were closed when we were walking around because it was after six o’clock, but I did make my first purchase at Free People, as well as a purchase from Urban – I’ll show y’all what I bought in my haul! There was also a J.Crew, a Kate Spade, and so much more – pretty close to heaven, if you ask me.
All in all, it was an absolutely amazing day of exploration and experience in the stunning city of Savannah. I cannot wait to go back! Though it is fun to eat and shop, the sinking sun, the swaying trees, and the endless laughs of sweet friendship are the best memories a girl can have – priceless.
